Macquarie University’s 2011 IMBG Debating Competition
2020 Funds Management was a proud sponsor of Macquarie University’s 2011 Investment Management and Banking Group (IMBG) Debating Competition final, held on 12 May 2011.
Vincent Hua, 2020’s Chief Investment Officer was a judge in this exciting final roundwhere the teams debated the topic: The state should never support failing businesses. Vincent was very impressed by the two teams and great knowledge of economics, politics and social issues were displayed by both sides.
After 3 speakers from each side had presented their case and argument it was up to Vincent and his co-judge, Daniel Dummer, President of the Macquarie University Debating Society, to decide upon a winner.
The negative team consisting of Luke Veduci, Daniel Delimihalis and Maddie Fraser was chosen as the winner. With their backgrounds in Economics, Law and Psychology they were able to form succinct and persuasive arguments and prevail over their competition.
2020 Funds Management was very pleased to have been involved in this event. We congratulate the winners and all participants and wish them that they succeed with quality in their further professional career.
